Jejich početné desky mají i slabé momenty, ovšem koncerty zvládají na výbornou. Kevin Barnes a of Montreal vydali za 21 let(!) existence úctyhodných 14 desek a bezpočet EPs, ale teprv v létě 2017 se poprvé představí také českému publiku. Kapela z amerických Athens ve státě Georgia mění pravidelně svůj styl, sestavu i šatník, ovšem na pozadí je pořád zřejmá fascinace psychedelii 60-tých let. Na zatím poslední, loňské desce „Innocent Reaches“ se Kevin přiznal k inspiraci Arcou či Charilift, letošní EP „Rune Husk“ zase jakoby vypadlo z Bowieho období ZIggyho Stardusta. Kevin Barnes and of Montreal have released 14 full-length records and numerous EPs/singles during their 21 years(!) of existence, but will play their first ever Czech show in the Summer of 2017. Hailing from Athens, Georgia are regularly changing their music style, line-up and wardrobe, however always retaining the underlying 60s psychedelia fascination. Kevin has cited Arca or Chairlift as an inspiration for last year’s “Innocent Reaches” album, while this year’s “Rune Husk” EP has an undeniable Ziggy Stardust vibe around it.
