Izraelský indie popový objev Lola Marsh se po 3 letech vrátí do Paláce Akropolis s novým albem Echoes!Gil Landau (kytara/klávesy) a Yael Soshana Cohen (zpěv) se potkali na jednom večírku v Tel Avivu a zjistili, že je spojuje stejná vášeň k hudbě. Počátky Lola Marsh se datují od února 2011, kdy se s prvním napsaným materiálem začala skupina pomalu rozrůstat na současnou šestici. Autorský tandem a zároveň mediální tvář skupiny ale zůstává pořád stejná - Yael Cohenová vystudovala prestižní Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music a Gil Landau je talentovaný samouk, který umí hrát na spoustu nástrojů. Společně přísahají na tak odlišné vlivy jako jsou Sufjan Stevens, Edith Piaf či soundtracky ze spaghetti westernů. Písničkářský rukopis Yael ale také ovlivňují staré indonéské a japonské desky, které našla jako dítě ve sbírce svých rodičů.
Lola Marsh na sebe poprvé výrazně upozornili na festivalu Primavera v roce 2014, kdy losangelská stanice KCRW nazvala jejich vystoupení jako „neuvěřitelné“, o Yael napsal, že se „zrodila k tomu, aby stála na pódiu“.
Kapela si získala oblibu předních hudebních médií - NPR, Paste Magazine, NYLON, Observer, Interview Magazine. Sinlg 'Wishing Girl' se stal trhákem internetu a do své reklamy si ho vybraly značky Ebay a California Lottery.
Nové fanoušky si kapela získává také intenzivním koncertováním v Evropě a USA, v klubech, ale i na velkých festivalech jako Primavera Sound, Exit, Dockville, Pukkelpop, Montreaux, FNAC. V Čechách se představili na letošním festivalu Colours of Ostrava a pravidelně je na svůj line-up zařazuje i slovenský festival Pohoda, pro který, stejně jako pro nás, byla Lola Marsh láskou na první poslech.

Yael Shoshana Cohen didn’t even know her future bandmate, Gil Landau when she turned up at his birthday in Tel Aviv. But their connection was magnetic. From the corner of the room, Yael watched as Gil picked up a stray guitar and began playing. She joined him, nervously layered her softly spoken vocals over Gil’s plucked melodies of “Jolene,” and like that, Lola Marsh began.
Lola Marsh, aka vocalist Yael Shoshana Cohen and multi-instrumentalist Gil Landau, create music that combine clever lyrics with deep warm harmonies.
At the start of 2016, the young duo self-released “You're Mine,” an impressive debut EP that cemented Lola Marsh as collaborators of magnetic, thoughtful indie-pop. Their distinctive sound resulted in a quick rise, first online and then in person, with performances bringing the 5-piece band to Europe and North America.
They followed with their debut record, “Remember Roses,” in the summer of 2017 - an effervescent collection of songs that boast a stunning juxtaposition of wistfulness and melancholy, set against an eccentrically offbeat pop backdrop. The record conjures up imagery of pastel skies and carefree summer days; and seeks to find beauty in even the most softly spoken and mundane moments of everyday life.
The record was received with critical acclaim, and the singles climbed to the top of Spotify’s most viral charts, hitting over 40 million streams that are growing by the day. The band gained attention from NPR, Paste Magazine, NYLON, Observer, Interview Magazine and more. The leading single 'Wishing Girl’ became a fan favorite and was featured in ads for leading brands such as Ebay and California Lottery. Their popularity crossed over to Hollywood and they co-wrote a song for the film “Criminal” and were featured in the hit TV series "Better Call Saul".
Once again their music brought them Stateside, seeing the duo tour nonstop, playing on stages at big-named festivals including Primavera Sound, Pohoda, Exit, Dockville, Pukkelpop, Montreaux, FNAC & intensively touring Europe & the USA.
"Echoes", the first single from their 2nd album to be release on January 2020, was released on July 12th accompanied by a cinematic video directed by Indy Hait.
