Americká písničkářka Suzanne Vega Suzanne Vega vystoupí 14. června v intimní atmosféře Divadla Archa. Zpěvačka, producentka, vypravěčka příběhů z newyorský ulic a „matka MP3“ patří k nejvýraznějším postavám neo-folkového hnutí počátku 80. let. Její úspěšný debut Suzanne Vega z roku 1985 a následující deska Solitude Standing ji katapultovaly na pozici folkrockové hvězdy.
Pro svou šarmantní neokázalost a výjimečný cit pro příběhy velkoměsta a poetiku ulice Susanne Vega získala přízeň publika na obou stranách oceánu. Její koncerty nepostrádají emocionální náboj a
naléhavost, což potvrdila mnohokrát i před českým publikem. Suzanne Vega se do Čech pravidelně vrací, naposledy v Arše vystoupila v červenci 2014. Na svém nadcházejícím koncertu představí písně ze své nové desky Lover, Beloved: Songs from an Evening with Carson McCullers, která vznikla na základě hry o enigmatické americké spisovatelce Carson McCullers.

American songwriter and singer Suzanne Vega will perform on June 14 in the intimate atmosphere of the Archa Theatre. The vocalist, producer, teller of stories from the streets of New York and "mother of the MP3" is one of the most important figures in the neo-folk movement at the start of the 1980s. Her successful 1985 debut album Suzanne Vega followed by Solitude Standing catapulted her to folk-rock stardom.
Thanks to her charming unaffectedness and extraordinary feeling for big city stories and the poetry of the street, Vega has gained the admiration of fans on both sides of the ocean. Her concerts are emotionally charged and urgent, as Czech audiences have come to know many times. Vega regularly returns to the Czech Republic, with her most recent performance here being in 2014. In June she will present in the Archa Theatre songs from her new album Lover, Beloved: Songs from an Evening with Carson McCullers.
