Mosaik (Signal Festival)
One immersive video-projection, 30 international artists, countless number of images.
MOSAIK is a collective site-specific video-installation featuring 30 artists from all around Europe. The artists are invited to reflect upon 3 themes (The so called REALITY / Less is More / Borders) with their own techniques and processes from live video mixing to videomapping, audioreaction and abstract math-generation.
Using a series of 30 continuous video projectors, each artist will create a personal section of a huge, seamless video projection covering the entirety of the auditorium hall in DOX.
The audience is encouraged to discover what VJing and Videomapping are through a state-of-the-art collaborative projection. Each single visitor can experience the immersive environment in a unique and unrepeatable way because of the continuous evolution of each element.
MOSAIK is a form of Bring Your Own Beamer activity enabling different Time-Based-Video artists to collaborate side by side.
MOSAIK is being organized by KinocirKus Kolektiv in cooperation with DOX as part of the Signal festival 2016
