Fresh off our triumphant performance of Richard III at the Estates Theater, Prague Shakespeare Company is proud to partner once again with Národní divadlo (National Theatre of the Czech Republic) to present a beautiful and bold new bi-lingual English and Czech language production of the only play Shakespeare wrote set in Bohemia – The Winter’s Tale. Shakespeare’s tragicomedy of love, jealousy, forgiveness and redemption is brought to life by PSC Artistic Director Guy Roberts – who stars as Leontes along with Jessica Boone as Hermione and the British Ambassador to the Czech Republic Jan Thompson OBE as Paulina, Gregory Gudgeon as Camillo, Bill Roberts as Antigonus and PSC favorite artists such as Vanessa Gendron, John Poston, Fanette Ronjat, Grant Podelco, Bob Boudreaux as well as beloved Czech actors Karel Heřmánek Jr., Štěpán Benoni, Lucie Špičková, Ronald Prokeš, Nikol Kouklová and Anežka Rusevová among others.

The performance is presented in the original English with Czech surtitles. In special celebration of Czech culture and history all of the scenes set in Bohemia will be played in Czech with English surtitles.
